Access Resource Library
As part of our work during Croydon's London Borough of Culture 2023/24, Zoo Co led on the creation of the Access Resource Library. The Access Advisory Group had pledged to support organisations to fulfill their access ambitions, in part by creating:

'A centralised ‘library’ of loanable/ shareable, physical/ digital resources for events organisers to gain access to accessibility equipment when it is not in use, including: break-out room kits, ear defenders, tech equipment, captioning software, sensory aids, and other items, so that we can limit the expense of individual organisations purchasing this equipment.'
We have a library of physical access resources that are available to hire, free of charge, to support in making your events more accessible to deaf, disabled and neurodiverse attendees. We believe that cultural organisations should be able to access these valuable resources without any budgetary constraints.
A range of resources are available, including projectors and screens to support DIY captioning, sensory aids for breakout spaces, audio description equipment and more!
Full catalogue, with pictures, available to download here.
'As a freelance producer, I was working across a range of organisations as part of LBoC in 2023-24. Although I have some access support knowledge, it is relatively limited so to have support with both equipment resources and a manifesto to give me and my clients goals and guidance was invaluable.' - Talita Moffatt, Freelance Producer
