PROJECT: Delight in the Woods
Delight in the Woods is a fully immersive outdoor performance and engagement programme at Box Hill, National Trust property in Surrey. It was devised and piloted with one partner school last year, and is now being rolled out for 8 of the least privileged primary schools in Surrey.

CHARACTER 1: William Wellington – William lives in the wettest part of the woods, where he writes very sad poetry and awaits the return of his friends, who have seemingly abandoned him many years ago on a Duke of Edinburgh trip. Although scripted, the scene is very interactive, as children arrive to find personalised poems for each of them hanging from William’s washing line.
